Thor is my mechanic

Adventures in Babysitting is on tv right now. That movie always gives me a nostalgic feeling. Well, more like nostalgia tinged with a sort of resigned feeling. I can't help but think back and remember that I once read the novelization of the movie when I was a kid. That's right, I actually read the book that was based off of the movie, Adventures in Babysitting. If that sounds pretty pathetic, that's because it was. Back then, I used to read everything I could get my hands on. In a thematically-related area, I've also read near a hundred Babysitter's Club books.

Part of the reason for this is due to those Scholastic order forms they used to send home with you as a kid. It never failed that my sisters and I would order a bundle of books from it. After I would finish reading whatever I had ordered, I would go and read their books too. That means that I had a pretty eclectic reading list that included way more Sweet Valley Teen/High then it probably should have.

The worst part about the whole Adventures in Babysitting thing, is that the movie wasn't very good to begin with. If you've seen it before, you wouldn't need me to tell you that. I actually read the book based off of the movie first and was disappointed the movie wasn't as good as the book when I finally saw it. That just makes no sense if you think about it.

I actually spent more time thinking about this question than is good for me. I guess in the end it depends on who I think you really are. Since I'm not sure I really do know who you are, it's going to take some guesswork.

I think that you'd be a Dawn or a Stacy. Dawn was a granola-chewing, treehuggy sort of person, but she's also very california and I don't get that sort of sense from you. Stacy on the otherhand might be closer since she's far more eastern metropolis and you might have aspired toward her sophistication and new york esque style.

Then again, you could throw me for a loop entirely. Maybe you're far more shy and introspective than I ever believed which would make you more a mary anne. You've expressed no real artistic tendancies so I think Claudia is flat out, and you don't appear bossy enough for Kristy. And it goes without saying that no one would want to be either of the crappy 'new' babysitters they added. Besides, you're not black or ginger.

Hmmm....

Okay, I'm going to guess Stacy.

So? Am I right?

Hahah, right on the nose! good work. I always liked Dawn and Stacy best, but Stacy was my favorite. Dawn was way too earnest.

Oh, and my favorite was Mary Anne for a good long time as a kid. Probably because she seemed harmless.
