Hanoi Jane

I finally remembered one of the things I wanted to rant about. The other day I was flipping channels and stumbled over the E! True Hollywood story of Jane Fonda. Normally, I'd sooner gouge out my eyes with a salad fork than watch E! but the topic interested me. By the end, I was simply appalled that no one had assasinated the stupid bitch. Not only that, but as far as I could tell from the program, no one even made a serious attempt. I mean, WTF? There must've been pissed off and shellshocked vets everywhere during that time. I find it unbelievable that no one put a cap in the middle of her forehead. This traitorous bitch was laughing and giggling while posing with a fucking vietnamese anti-aircraft gun! I can't believe they didn't just have the CIA whack her or something. It was surely treason, providing material support and comfort to the enemy.

What really pisses me off is that I can look the fucking hippie protestors of today and I see the same thing, except today they're smarter. They know they can't simply express what they really feel. Freed of restraints I have no doubt they'd be out there screaming murderers at the returning troops and spitting on them. Now they pretend as if they care and hide behind the very troops we know they loath. These are the Mooorists out there who like to paint Iraq as some sort of modern day paradise before the war because in their mind, this country and its people can do nothing but evil. You can't tell me that they don't hate this country.

I'd like to believe that the majority of americans have learned from the spectors of the past but there's still too much restraint to call a traitor a traitor. I guess we should just be happy that when the Hanoi Jane's of this generation like Sean Penn made his visits to iraq, he at least waited until Saddam was deposed. Not that he wouldn't have loved to go there beforehand and really yuck it up with Saddam I'll bet.
