And luck for me, I know exactly where to go to acquire the cats. Thank you crazy cat lady.

70 Cats Seized From Unsanitary Home

Humane Society Officers Forced To Get Warrant For Cats

NORTH STRABANE, Pa. -- Washington County Humane Society officers removed more than 70 cats from a North Strabane home Friday, citing unsanitary conditions.

Humane Society officers said they were forced to get a warrant to enter the home along Acme Road.

Once inside, they said they began loading all the cats into crates and then took them to the Humane Society for evaluation.

Officers said the cats were well fed, but the home was filled with feces and garbage and was unsuitable for not only cats, but also humans.

"They all seem to be as far as good weight and there are some cats that are sick," said Vicki Schmalzried, with the Humane Society. "It's just that basically there are so many cats living in unsanitary conditions."

Humane Society officers said they are not sure if charges will be filed against the owner.

Once the cats are evaluated, they will be available for adoption.

The better part of valor

I just feel like I'm spinning my wheels on here most times. There's just not enough interaction on LJ and ever since the laptop arrived, my time spent online has rocketed into the stratosphere. I haven't picked up the DS or PSP since it got here and I've turned on the tv less than a half dozen times. All that time means that I spent a good chunk of my online experience bored out of my skull and end up watching Highlander episodes. (BTW, I just finished season 3, and it's still going good. It really was a wonderful series in a lot of respects and there are all sorts of facets I never realized watching it piecemeal.)

Anyway, one possible solution is to go searching for more LJ friends. I'm a bit leery about that since it hasn't worked out all that well for me in the past. Not that some of you aren't very interesting and spiffy people, but I just don't feel like I mesh with a lot of you. We're ships passing in the night, to whom I call out a snarky comment now and again. I'm not really a part of your lives and none of you have become part of mine.

I guess I could just abandon or cut back on LJ altogether. Maybe it's time I found another forum to post on. Those, if you find one large enough, are active 24-7 and it might be sort of spiffy to actually have debates and discussions with people again. I dunno. I'm just baffled that I can't seem to find any people I really click with on here.
