There are few things in this world that are as wonderful as a good breakfast

And what I just had was nothing like a good breakfast. Still, it was free and it was plentiful, which probably allows it to win the Miss Congeniality award if nothing else. I do have to say though that those scrambled eggs might be the worst I have ever had in my life. They only resemble scrambled eggs in general shape and coloring. The taste is something best left to the imagination since I'm not even sure it's within my power to accurately describe. What it all comes down to though is that it's free, available, and it's probably the only food I'll get all day until (possibly) the very late evening. That's the way it pretty much went yesterday for the first day of True Realm. A curious breakfast in the morning and then nothing all day long except for a few candy bars purchased from a concession stand that only had candy bars and chips. I guess I could have asked someone with a car to trek me out to somewhere nearby for food, but it seemed like an imposition.

Overall, it was a pretty okay day. I started it pretty happy-go-lucky and ended it dirty, tired, and hating the world. In my world, that's pretty much par for the course. I didn't really have any events scheduled and decided to instead fill in for other people who had tickets but no people. I thought of it as my way of helping out TR, even if it was pretty minor. I went through 2 Director's Cut runs and then a Grind that night. There were both positives and negatives with the events and I think I'll pass on breaking it all down right now. Besides, most of you likely aren't interested anyway.

I got back to the hotel around 11pm after a stop at Steak 'n Shake which ripped me off on a takeout order, stiffing me for cheese fries that I didn't discover until around a hour later. I was able to hitch a ride with Bruce (dis_bee) and his kids which was spiffy. Overall, my meds held up pretty well throughout the day and I didn't have any real problems along those lines. The exhaustion was pretty much a given and there was some nausea on the ride back but compared to some previous experiences, this counts as buttah. I've got a crapload of events scheduled for today and it's my wager that I'll hit tired and grumpy much earlier in the day this time around.
