Overall, the convention was just great. The final body count was supposedly around 1500 and small enough that mostly I saw the same people over and over, day after day. It gives you a chance to know people when you just happen to play multiple games with them over the course of a few days. Like everything, there were some downsides and bumps in the road, but I was happy with how it went by and large, enough to want to sign up officially as a volunteer for their next convention when I'm running games.
While I dragged my camera a long with me for all 5 days of the thing, I never ended up pulling it out to snap pictures so I don't exactly have a picture montage for this convention like I've had for origins and gencon. In fact, I think I only have like 4 pictures total. Two from a large-sized version of a game called bumper cars or something similar, one of me with my two national championship trophies, and one with all the people from the killer bunnies tournament finals.
What's that, you ask? National championship? Yep. Through general dumb luck, I managed to pick up a couple of trophies for two of the tournaments I played in. I competed in 6 total and managed to only win for the two games I ended up disliking the most. Weee. Isn't it nice how that works out? I also have some interesting and funny stories of my convention experience which I'm sure you're all dying to hear about. I'll try to do a small recap starting tommorrow for those who are interested.
