The Great Cheese War

I just saw on tv a commercial for California Cheese. Apparently it's some sort of nationwide advertising campaign which features 'happy cows' who are fleeing the frigid northlands for new homes in balmy california. Am I the only one who finds this sort of whacky? I can just imagine wisconsin retaliating with its own series of Wisconsin raisin commercials or something of that sort trying to steal marketshare in another product. That aside, does anyone pick their cheese based on the location of its manufacture? It seems like a gigantic waste of money to me.
