Dodgeball

Well, I just finished watching this movie and I loved it. It's always spiffy when there are pointless star cameos in a movie and I'm not sure it's humanly possible to get more pointless than dodgeball. I mean....Chuck Norris? Holy crap. Where did they dig him out from? He's one of those people that I always assume is dead and I simply missed the news bulletin. Toss in David Hasslehoff and William Shatner and it's like some sort of trifecta of campy.

So basically two thumbs up. This was certainly the best comedy I've seen in a long while and reminded me a lot of The Wedding Singer with the general flow and references. In which, btw, Christine Taylor (Kate) played Holly Sullivan. I knew I had recognized her from somewhere, though I had no clue from what movie until I did some IMBD dumpster diving. BTW, is she dating Stiller or married to him or something? I keep stumbling over pictures of them together.

Ahh, ask a stupid question.....

Daughter-in-law of Anne Meara and Jerry Stiller.

Sister-in-law of Amy Stiller.

Born on the same day as actor/comedian Tom Green.

She and her husband Ben Stiller, have both guest-starred on the TV series "Friends" (1994) and "Arrested Development" (2003), although not in the same episode.

2nd child with husband Ben Stiller, born July 10, 2005 in Los Angeles named Quinlin Dempsey Stiller.

I wonder if he pulls strings for her to get roles in his movies. She certainly seemed to more than pull it off, but it's sorta odd the number of films they've starred in together.

Still, any flick with some girl on girl action is always spiffy. I wonder if Ben wrote that part in special.
