On a sidenote, can anyone believe that Diane Salinger actually picked up a paycheck for her role as Apollonia? That must be the cushiest acting job ever. All she has to do each episode is stare at the ceiling and look retarded.
In other news, I'm looking forward to gameday at the Panera this week. A new game order arrived around a week ago and included some gems that I've been dying to try out. I've taken the time to work my way through the instructions and I'm hoping that everything goes over well. First and foremost, I want to give Fury of Dracula a whirl. It's a reprint of an old Games Workshop game from around 15-20 years ago and takes place after the events of Bram Stoker's Dracula. Apparently the good Count is alive and kicking and trying to escape the hunters who are after him. The game has a really unique cat and mouse feature where the Hunters almost never know for certain exactly where Dracula is. Instead, they can only track him by stumbling over his backtrail and the encounters that he leaves behind. It becomes like a game of fox and hounds with some combat thrown in.
In addition to Fury of Dracula, I'm looking forward to trying out a couple of others including Through the Desert, El Grande, and Dungeon Twister. All are very highly rated and recommended and I can't wait to give it a whirl. With time constaints, we'll probaly only get through a couple but it's past time I started actually playing some of these games rather than just accumilating them.
