The ending to Harry Potter

Alright, people. I'm about to offer you the chance to save $25 as well as at least a half day of your time by spoiling the ending to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. Actually, I have no confirmation that this is the ending, though the publishers of the book have failed to deny it's a fiction.

The backstory is basically that someone claims to have hacked into the computer system of the UK publishers of the book and has leaked the ending. This has caused, as you might imagine, a storm of commentary from general disbelief to HP fanatics who are now threatening to slit their wrists now that everything is ruined. I'm going to reproduce the guy's email verbatim behind a LJ cut so you can decide on your own if you want to know.

Dear my brothers,

Voldemort killed Hermione. Yes, that's true. And we knew that 2 days ago.

This is the end of the not yet published (someone could call that 0day) book

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows .

At the end of the story Hagrid was killed by Snape in the attempt of ambush Hermione and Ron.
Ron and Hermione flees in privet drive but Voldermort, surprising them, engaged a magical duel with Ron and Hermione.

Voldemort attacked trough the imperius curse and Hermione, to protect the life of Ron fight hardly for more than 6 pages and then finally die.
(boring, very boring... it's always the same story!)

Then, to make a long story short, Harry came up, killed all the bad guys and Hogwarts against became a good place to stay and have fun.

Ah, i missed one important information about Draco Malfoy, he started to create Horcrux (for fun and profit!).

The end.

Well, that would make a fitting ending to what has become an increasingly shitty set of books. I liked it up until Order of the Phoenix but since then it's been nothing but a backslide. Given half a chance, I'd like to punch JK Rowling in the face for feeding us such tripe. Of course, what does she care? She's rolling in the cash. At this point she could wipe her ass with every title page and people would still be lining up in droves to tell her it smells like roses.

Harry Potter is a gimp. The 'boy who lived', my ass. Talk about having low expecations for someone. The real heroes of the series so far are those like his parents who sacrificed their lives for him and Hermione who has always been a real role model. Intelligent, compassionate, sensible, hard working, a true friend, etc. Thus, it wouldn't surprise me at all if she got offed. It would only fit in with the rest of the fubar where the guy who's entire life is an accident of chance and the fact that he has good people willing to dive in front of him to take the bullet, lives happily ever after. The entire idea makes me want to puke.

So there you have it, people. Take it or leave it. The entire HP thing is overblown and hearing about it at this point is just starting to piss me off in general. It was a perfectly good series once, but it spun into the toilet a couple years back and paradoxically, the fangirls/boys just seem to love it all the more.
