Rain

I dozed off a little after 8pm last night and awoke with a start around a hour ago. I was having some rambling dream about True Dungeon that, to my complete lack of surprise, somehow involved finagling incredibly rare tokens. It's probably not a good thing when you start to dream about crap like that. I'm still not sure why I woke up so abruptly. It wasn't exactly one of those pop up in bed deals but it was abrupt and my heart was racing. Feh. Maybe I found out the tokens were really commons or something and simply don't remember.

So since waking I've been puttering about and generally feeling sort of blah. I spent a good chunk of the evening singing at the top of my voice and I have a tendancy to do that only when I'm feeling down. In addition to the usual playlist of les miserables and other musicals, I've been singing a song that got stuck in my head a while back. It was used in a montage for the last episode of Stargate SG1.

Creedence Clearwater Revival - Have you ever seen the rain?

Someone told me long ago
There's a calm before the storm,
I know; It's been comin' for some time.
When it's over, so they say,
It'll rain a sunny day,
I know; Shinin' down like water.

I want to know,
Have you ever seen the rain?
I want to know,
Have you ever seen the rain
Comin' down on a sunny day?

Yesterday, and days before,
Sun is cold and rain is hard,
I know; Been that way for all my time.
'Til forever, on it goes
Through the circle, fast and slow,
I know; It can't stop, I wonder.

I want to know,
Have you ever seen the rain?
I want to know,
Have you ever seen the rain
Comin' down on a sunny day?

I want to know,
Have you ever seen the rain?
I want to know,
Have you ever seen the rain
Comin' down on a sunny day?

Feh. Something about this song is just sticking with me for the time being.
