How sweet it is

There's a wonderful vindictive joy to be had watching a hypocrite fall from grace. Eliot Spitzer, the current governor of New York is doing the Hemp Fandango right now and I'm loving every moment of it. It's sort of like what hippies must've felt when they first heard the Larry Craig allegations. It's just fantastic all around and even more on point.

Spitzer spent years as the NY attorney general, running around filing lawsuits like crazy against any and everyone. You couldn't avoid him on the news, always lecturing some person or group with this incredibly condescending moral superiority. It was his path by which he reached the governorship, and there was a lot of talk of a presidential run in the future. During this time of do what I say and not what I do, he also ended up prosecuting two large prostitution rings. I can only assume that it made it easier to know which ones not to frequent when you're the one deciding whether or not they get raided.

He, like other noted perverts in the past, tried to play it off as a 'private matter' between him and his family. Yeah, I don't think that's going to work in this case, asshole. What you did was break the law and just as you would have raked any defendant facing you who offered up such an excuse, now it's your turn to get fucked. As an added little bonus in this case, he's actually run afoul of some federal anti-trafficing laws on this one. It's a federal crime to bring someone across state lines for the purpose of prostitution. In Spitzer's case, he was actually having the whore flown in from New York so she could boink him in Washington. I'm hoping for a lurid public trial and maybe, just maybe, if I'm lucky, something will come out about how he had an adult-baby fetish or something else equally insane.

Edited to add:

He's even more of a cock than I thought he was. I hope he does jail time.
