The better part of valor

I just feel like I'm spinning my wheels on here most times. There's just not enough interaction on LJ and ever since the laptop arrived, my time spent online has rocketed into the stratosphere. I haven't picked up the DS or PSP since it got here and I've turned on the tv less than a half dozen times. All that time means that I spent a good chunk of my online experience bored out of my skull and end up watching Highlander episodes. (BTW, I just finished season 3, and it's still going good. It really was a wonderful series in a lot of respects and there are all sorts of facets I never realized watching it piecemeal.)

Anyway, one possible solution is to go searching for more LJ friends. I'm a bit leery about that since it hasn't worked out all that well for me in the past. Not that some of you aren't very interesting and spiffy people, but I just don't feel like I mesh with a lot of you. We're ships passing in the night, to whom I call out a snarky comment now and again. I'm not really a part of your lives and none of you have become part of mine.

I guess I could just abandon or cut back on LJ altogether. Maybe it's time I found another forum to post on. Those, if you find one large enough, are active 24-7 and it might be sort of spiffy to actually have debates and discussions with people again. I dunno. I'm just baffled that I can't seem to find any people I really click with on here.
