In a bit of mixing between fantasy and reality, I just ran across a CNN article about the olympics which says that China spent 40 billion dollars in total on the event. Coincidentally, while I was looking around on the Gateworld fan site for Stargate a few days ago I had seen an entry stating that the cost of the Prometheus was around 2 billion dollars. Lets see....which would I rather have? A two week olympic games in China or around a dozen intergalactic spaceships that shoot nukes and laser beams. Hmmmm. I think I have to go with the space ships in this case.
