Get off my lawn

I feel like one of those doddering old people just a handful of steps away from death. I tend to doze off without any warning the past few days. I haven't had a good night's sleep in God only knows how long. Instead, i tend to just doze off at odd hours and sleep for a few before waking again. All I need is a rocking chair by the fire while being covered by a knitted afghan. I think part of it is the pain medication. I end up sleeping soon after I pop the pills and then wake to the owies. Time of day certainly doesn't matter as much as it used to.

I've started reading Jim Butcher's Dresden Files but I'm only around 20 pages in. It's been ages since I've actually read a book. Well, that's not entirely true. I breezed through one of Robert Asprin's Myth books when I got stuck at the SSA office a couple weeks ago. Other than that though, I haven't really read much of anything. Instead, I've gotten hooked on the damn boob tube again. There are plenty of crazy new shows on cable and I've gone from no tv at all half a year ago to having it on almost all hours of the day and night. It just seems that I can never find a happy medium.
