The government you deserve

I fucking hate liberals. I hate their divide and conquer race baiting and I hate their incitement to class warfare. It's not only cynical but I think it's just plain evil to boot. This is not to say that republicans have been innocent in the past of similar tactics, but nowadays it's clear that stupidity populism is mostly a liberal cause celeb. Just look at the spazzing we've seen over the past few days as one hippie asshole after another lines up to attack the AIG bonuses, trying to fan the flames of class warfare for all they're worth. Now, I read that the assholes in congress are actually trying to pass a law establishing a 90% tax on those bonuses just so they can take the money back from those individuals. It's fucked up and few people seem willing to stand up and say so. Sure, all the envious morons out there are all gungho for such a tax now, but what's to stop the government from targeting other individuals once something like this becomes precedent. What's to stop them from targeting you or your family next? No one likes the fact that some of those AIG bigwigs got bonuses, but it was part of their fucking contract. You can't just reneg on this shit. When you go to work for a company, you and they come to an agreement on what your compensation should be. If the company doesn't like your work they can and should fire your ass. They cannot decide after the fact that you don't get the money for work already completed. It's bullshit.

Instead of realizing this, people are more than willing to engage in class warfare hurling vitriol at the 'rich'. What they never realize is that everyone is rich to someone else. What do you think is going to happen when some hippie asshole thinks he can get a few more votes by going lower down the ladder and whipping those people against you. You envy and hate the fact that some executives live in million dollar homes? There are even more people out there who will be happy to line up and throw bile at you for simply owning a home in the first place when they don't.

I'm pissed over the million dollar bonus for people who wanted bailouts, but I don't support any kind of tax on it. This is what happened under Bush (at least I THINK it did, I'm a political incompetant which is why I seldom comment on your stuff) and now we have to live with it.

No, it was under Obama. He apparently just admitted it was his fault too according to what I just read on cnn. Regardless, those people worked and deserved their compensation. It's pretty stupid to agree to pay those morons, but once you do you're obligated to carry through. Ex post facto.

Pretty soon there aren't going to be any more "rich" to tax. Bottom up wealth doesn't work.

Don't forget. Liberals are 100% incapable of forward thinking or logic. None of them have ever seen a contractual agreement, because you don't have to sign those to work at a Starbuck's, or to go to a college class.

Sure, I don't like the idea of them getting a bonus either, but that's what was promised in the contract. Why all the outrage about something that a company is contractually obligated to do, but when "normal schmos" bail out on a contract (such as a MORTGAGE), it's somebody else's fault, and they were preyed upon.

Welcome to the nanny state. Sometimes I'm just appalled that someone can actually come forward and claim that they were victimized by loans or mortgages or whatever. It's one thing when a mugger sticks a gun in your ribs and demands your money. It's another when you knowingly sign a contract for something. Hell, even the most ignorant person in the world knows to read what they're signing, right? If you abridge your own responsibilities in due diligence, you can't cry victimization later on.
