The Poster Strikes Back

Well, I'm happy to report that I think I finally have a handle on this damn poster and that I should be able to finish it tommorrow. It's mostly the pain of constantly sizing and resizing at this point to try to make the various different graphs match up. All the materials are prepared and I just have to shove the whole thing into place. Frankly, I'm not sure why anyone will even care about this nor do I think many people will visit the poster while at neuroscience. I'm not even sure I really want to go quite frankly. It's going to cost a lot of money and I know that my advisor's not going to cover it all. One of these days I have to take my time and really clear my chest on here about him on here so you all know what I'm talking about. He's more of a penny pincher than ebeneezer scrooge and I've been given the shaft in the lab when it comes to money. I've basically been forced into working for the next two years, or whenever I finish this degree, without a single cent of compensation from him or anyone else.

Just to give you an example...

Before I arrived in the lab he had a lab manager who was ordering supplies one day. She placed a 99 cent packet of bic pens onto the order sheet and he approached her later telling her to take it off. As he put it, 'Pens? That's the kind of stuff people should be bringing themselves from home.' What can you say to that?
